The municipal project will be working on South Main Street starting mid-April. Construction in the roadway is necessary for the new Public Safety Building to bring in new water services, create new roadway entrances, and install a new traffic signal for the fire station. During the work, there will be lane diversions along South Main Street, and drivers should expect minor delays. Crews will be working primarily during daytime hours, and plans are in place to minimize disruptions. Pedestrian access will be maintained and signage will be posted to help guide motorists through the work zones. We appreciate the community’s patience as we complete this critical infrastructure work for the new facility. Updates will be provided as the project progresses.
This week marked a significant milestone for the Town Hall Project as the crew successfully installed the Air Handling Units (AHUs) into the building. This crucial step in the project brings us one step closer to ensuring a modern and efficient HVAC system for the facility.
The installation process was a remarkable display of precision and coordination. Using a crane, the crew carefully hoisted the AHUs up to the attic space, where they will be housed. What made this feat even more impressive was the strategic removal of the roof’s top section, allowing seamless placement of the units. The roof has been steadily undergoing progression, making this installation a perfectly timed achievement in the overall construction schedule.
We’re excited to share a significant update on the progress of the Public Safety Building! Over the past month, the project has seen tremendous advancements, particularly in the masonry work, which has been moving forward at an impressive pace. The addition of brickwork is not only adding strength and durability to the structure but also giving the building character, making it feel more like the finished facility it is destined to become. As the walls take shape and the details emerge, this part of the project is truly coming to life. The brick façade is a defining feature, blending both function and aesthetics, reinforcing the sense that this will soon be a cornerstone of public safety in the community.
Following the concrete pour at the Public Safety Building, on January 27, 2025, the Town Hall Building reached a significant milestone with the completion of its first-level concrete pour. This achievement marks the foundation for the interior work. Sip panels have also begun their installation process at the Town Hall.
On January 9, 2025, the Public Safety Building reached a significant milestone with the completion of its first-level concrete pour. This achievement marks the foundation for the interior work ahead.
On Friday, December 6th, a sense of accomplishment filled the air as community members and the building committee gathered to celebrate a pivotal moment in the construction of the new public safety building. The Topping-Off Ceremony, held just outside the construction site, marked the placement of one of the final structural panel on the roof, signifying the completion of the building’s structural framework.
This ceremony is a time-honored tradition in construction, symbolizing progress and teamwork. The event brought together stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to bring the project to fruition, as well as members of the community who eagerly anticipate the building’s completion. With the panel now in place, the project moves closer to becoming a reality, showcasing a collaborative effort that will enhance public safety for years to come.
As the new public safety building takes shape, this milestone serves as a reminder of the dedication and hard work poured into its development.
